“Seeing Christ in Creation” provides an in-depth scientific and biblical look at the implications of this verse ( - Colossians 1:16)
If Jesus is the one for whom and by whom all things exist, we should expect that the created universe carries the imprint of Christ as Creator.
In the following lectures, we will investigate:
• How creation acknowledges the Lordship of Jesus.
• How 11 of Jesus’ attributes are woven into the fabric of creation.
• How creation serves as a setting for God’s redemptive story.
• How we can appropriately respond to the Lordship of Jesus over creation
By gaining a deeper understanding of nature as the handiwork and the servant of Jesus Christ, we can grow in our trust in his sovereignty and our worship of his majesty as revealed in the nature and the Word.
This course, which features the teachings of Dr. Eric Hedin, Professor of Physics & Astronomy, will provide you with a new and deeper appreciation of the image of Christ in creation. The six lessons and guided reflections will help lead you to richer, more informed worship of Christ in light of his lordship over the natural world.
Each lesson is designed to take approximately 2-4 hours, depending on how deeply you engage the reflection and discussion questions. Since this is a self-paced course, the time it will take you to complete it will depend on the speed with which you want to progress through the course.
